Bom...não é nada fácil responder a isso e não sei sequer se é possível e não sei mesmo se é conveniente, porque coisas que gostaríamos de apagar da nossa memória creio que todos nós as temos, não é? Se gostaríamos de apagar-las é porque elas nos incomodam, se nos incomodam fazemos silêncio sobre elas ou, uma vez que nos incomodam e até nos envergonham, metemo-las, na medida do possível, dentro de uma cápsula de silêncio, ou de segredo; se de diante da pergunta dessa se fala de uma delas então acabou-se o silêncio e acabou-se o segredo, de modo que, eu suspeito que nunca ninguém confessou exactamente algo de que se envergonhasse.

When I think about architecture, images come into my mind. Many of the images are connected with my training and work as an architect. They contain the professional knowledge about architecture that I have gathered over the years. Some of the other images have to do with my childhood. There was a time when I experienced architecture whithout thinking of it. Sometimes I can almost feel a one particular door handle in my hand, a piece of metal shaped like the back of a spoon. (...)
